Release Date: January 18, 2013 (USA)
 Genre: Thriller/Horror
 Movie Rating: PG-13
My Rating:10/10

Plot:
On the day that their parents die, sisters Lilly and Victoria vanish in the woods, prompting a frantic search by their Uncle Lucas and his girlfriend, Annabel. Five years later, miraculously, the girls are found alive in a decaying cabin, and Lucas and Annabel welcome them into their home. But as Annabel tries to reintroduce the children to a normal life, she finds that someone -- or something -- still wants to tuck them in at night.

My thoughts: I wanted to say that this movie is probably my favorite scary movie of all time. Though I haven't seen a dramatic amount, from the ones I've seen, this one by far takes the medal! The acting done by everyone was great, expecially the little girls. I was very impressed with how well the children acted in this movie.
The thing I like about movies like this is the paranormal aspect of it. I loved certain parts of Paranormal Activity because you know that a human couldn't do some of those things, and in this movie I kind of felt the same way. There is one of the girls named Lilly, who is the youngest, she likes to see Mama, she smiles whenever Mama comes around. The other girl, Victoria, is different, she starts to get scared when Mama shows up. Now at the beginning of the movie you see both girls in a mental hospital after being "rescued" from this cabin, while they're here they are being watched over by a doctor. Before they move into the house of their uncle and his girlfriend, they arrive at this mental hospital to check on the girls, here is where they see something different about these girls, Lilly nor Victoria say much when they're in the hospital, just groans, and growls.
It's once they get the girls home that things start changing. Victoria starts to develop a wide vocabulary, Lilly, not so much. She starts to say things like, "Victoria, Mama" whenever Mama comes to "visit". Mama really isn't shown in this movie, she's shown by objects moving, there are times towards the end where Mama makes an appearence. You know when Mama is coming because moths come out and flutter around. Victoria has never really "seen'' Mama, she needs glasses but hasnt ever owned a pair, she has no idea how horrific Mama really is until she puts her glasses on.
This movie is SO amazing. It was well done and I'd recommend it to anyone. Just make sure you don't watch it alone.....
